Nanopoint Technologies Goes for a Name Change

Nanopoint Technology announced the change in the name of the company to "Abertek Company Limited". The company will officially close operations as Nanopoint Technologies and start a new company by the new name. The decision has been taken with the mutual consent of all stakeholders. The company will start its operations as Abertek Company Limited from Feb. 01, 2009. In India Abertek will begin operation with renewed focus on marketing multiple brands, TAGAN, SilverPower for power supply, A+Case for PC Chasis, Key Sonic for HD and ICYBOX for storage solutions in India. The new company plans to tap the entry to middle segment with their new products that offer the best balance between performance and price. Going forward the company plans to get into the main stream markets and deliver the brand image of "Super Stable and Reliable". The company also plans to form alliances for bundling of products, thereby bringing additional benefits for the endusers.

The management of the company remains the same as before, however there has been an internal restructuring. The new company will have sepcialists dedicated for each department such as Product Management, Sales & Marketing (S&M) and Finance departments. The product department will further be headed by two specialists who will look after the opertaions of product development and domestic sales seperately. The international markets will be taken care of by the Overseas Sales department under S&M along with Customer Service.
