Yahoo! India R&D Announces Open Hack Day Winners for 2009
Yahoo! India R&D announced the top 9 winners of Open Hack Day 2009. The event received a whopping 500 registrations of which 361 were short listed comprising of 303 hackers and 58 Info Geeks. After 24 hours of hack, fun, music and food, there where 66 unique hacks from 125 hackers that were submitted. List of the 9 winning hacks (& categories): [1] Best Search Inside - Y! Open Hack Day conducted on Feb 14-15 in Bangalore, saw participation from across the country and also a few foreign nationals. David Filo, Co-Founder & Chief Yahoo! kicked off the 2nd ‘Open Hack Day India '. This was the 7th Open Hack Day being organized by Yahoo! worldwide. The event had its beginning in 2006 in Sunnyvale and since then Yahoo! has taken it globally to London, Taiwan and for the second time in Bangalore.
