STEER Engineering Launches Twin-Screw Extruder ALPHA 40 S for Plastic Industry

STEER Engineering announced the launch of ALPHA 40 S, a revolutionary Twin-Screw Extruder for the plastic industry. It allows supreme processing capabilities at amazing screw speeds. Alpha 40 S was unveiled by the Visionary Dr. Babu Padmanabhan - Founder and CEO of Steer Engineering at the PlastIndia 2009 in New Delhi. The extruder is conceptualized and designed out of India for the needs of fast changing market requirements of emerging economies. The entire Extruder Processing Zone (EPZ) is based on the modular design concept. All the barrels can be de-assembled by means of the special quick clamp system. The screw shafts have been designed with split construction comprising of a safety shaft and adapter and the Continua(TM) splined shaft. Continua Spline avoids stress concentration in both Screw Shafts and Screw Elements, thereby increasing torque carrying capacity.
