Ray Stata at ISA’s Thought Leadership Forum
Ray Stata, Co-founder and Chairman, Analog Devices Inc., today addressed a select gathering at the India Semiconductor Association's (ISA) signature event, the Thought Leadership Forum. In his session titled, "Semiconductors - An Industry in Transition - Again", Ray Stata emphasized that long-term success depends on how well business leaders, educators, and public officials respond to major shifts in technologies and markets.
According to Ray Stata, "As a result of the ‘Flat World' phenomenon, Asia is fast emerging as a preferred semiconductor destination. In this scenario, a strong focus on innovation and breakthrough, advancements in technology, development of human resources and sound educational system supported by a conducive political environment will play a critical role in propelling the industry further."
Ray Stata highlighted that Analog Devices began as a quintessential product centric company which gradually adopted a more customer centric orientation. This evolution enabled Analog Devices to achieve the cost and quality demanded by customers across consumer, computer and communications applications. Talking about yet another transition being faced by the semiconductor industry today, Ray stressed on the increasing demand from customers for solutions that mitigate soaring design costs and reduce time to market.
Addressing the gathering, Poornima Shenoy, President ISA, said "ISA is extremely delighted to host a global thought leader and industry pioneer like Ray Stata at the Thought Leadership Forum. This forum is as an important platform for the industry to come together to share their vision and exchange ideas. It encourages collaboration among industry players, thereby facilitating the development of a healthy ecosystem in the country."
