DBS Bank Opens Branch in Chennai |

DBS Bank announced the opening of its branch in Chennai, five months after receiving approval from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to expand its network across the country. This opening comes after the launch of the latest DBS branch in Kolkata last Friday (5 September). The Chennai branch is one of the eight branches that DBS has been approved to open across the cities of Bengaluru, Chennai, Kolkata, Moradabad, Nasik, Pune, Salem and Surat. The Chennai branch is strategically located in the heart of the city's business district of Anna Salai at 806 Mount Road, and is headed by Mr. Roshan Mathew. It is spread over 13,000 square feet and is staffed with 20 experienced banking professionals. The bank's staff strength will reach over 80 within the next two years. DBS Bank will extend its products and services to blue-chip corporates, SMEs and individual customers in Chennai. Located in a city renowned as a trading gateway between India and Singapore, the Chennai branch will specialize in import and export services. It will also offer a range of exclusive wealth management products like "Non Resident Indian" (NRI) Services and "DBS Treasures Priority Banking" to customers.
