Freescale Semiconductor India launched 'Design With Freescale' (DWF), part of a global training program created to inspire and equip design engineers with the latest semiconductor technologies. Freescale announced a series of training sessions and workshops across Pune, New Delhi and Bangalore. Registrations are open from July 20, 2008 for interested individuals and companies. The programs are scheduled for August 12-13 in Pune, August 19-20 in New Delhi and August 28 in Bangalore. The training programs are scheduled to cover the following products - microcontrollers, Ethernet & USB based applications, i.MX processors and Power Architecture micro processors, which are used in applications across consumer, industrial, wireless, and networking sectors. Each participant is responsible for payment of a nominal registration fee of Rs. 1000 post to attend the two day training. Each registered participant will receive a complementary development tool kit worth approximately Rs. 1,000. In addition, Freescale plans to also provide a FREE development tool worth approximately Rs. 5,000 to each participant that confirms a new project based on Microcontroller platforms within 6 months.
