Cholamandalam MS Ties up with Council of NGO’s in Rural India |

Cholamandalam MS announced a tie-up with the Council of NGOs in Rural India (CNRI) to reach out to the rural market. The CNRI network will promote General Insurance products such as personal accident insurance, health insurance, tractor insurance, property insurance and composite products from the Chola MS stable. Chola MS expects Rs.10 crore GWP from this initiative in the first year and going ahead this will form the backbone of Chola MS thrust in the rural areas. CNRI has a network of over 4000 NGOs across the country. In the first phase, the tie-up will roll out in the states of Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Uttar Pradesh. Depending on its feasibility and success, it will be extended in other states as well. Phase one will begin with 50 NGOs undergoing training in Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, by the Rural and Government business group of Cholamandalam MS. The number of NGOs involved in the tie-up is expected to scale over 400 in the near future.
