Kingston Technology Ranked No. 1 Memory Maker in 2007. PDF Print E-mail

Kingston Technology was recently ranked No. 1 by both iSuppli and DRAMeXchange, the world renowned independent research companies, in the global dynamic random access memory ( DRAM ) module supplier market, based on revenues.

According to iSuppli, Kingston® had total DRAM module sales of over $2,235 million (U.S. dollars) in 2007, nearly $25 million more than in 2006. The 2007 total represented a market share rise to 1.1%, much higher than its closest competitor, who suffered a 3.5% decline in revenue, as indicated in a statement released on May, 2008. DRAMeXchange also reported Kingston as No. 1 with annual DRAM revenue of $2,695 million (U.S. dollars) and a 24.3% market share. According to DRAMeXchange, Kingston , as the number-one DRAM module maker, has its role in both memory card and UFD rapidly rise over recent years. Built on its well-established channels, the company aggressively boosted its market share in memory card and UFD. Kingston Technology has been ranked third amongst the Global NAND Flash Memory card and UFD makers with annual revenue of $1126 million (U.S. dollars) and a 9.8% market share.
