Gigabyte United announces their latest Multi-CoreTM Technology, designed with several leading innovations which provide maximum VGA cooling performance. Built upon the foundation of GIGABYTE's highly successful Silent-Pipe series, GIGABYTE's latest Multi-CoreTM Technology promises to take passive cooling technologies to a whole new level of cool.

Based on extensive lab testing and previous graphics card development, the GIGABYTE VGA engineering group has designed a revolutionary new VGA card cooling technology centered on the principle of more is better. Utilizing 3 cool points instead of the traditional single node to connect the heat pipes to the fins, GIGABYTE's Multi-CoreTM Technology provides additional thermal conductivity for better performance especially during heavy loading. Featuring a series of ultra-thin layered fins with nodes of copper, these added cooling points on the heat pipes help to increase the heat conduction ratio, thereby enhancing overall thermal performance. It has developed the unique Gamer HUDTM (Heads Up Display) utility to allow hardcore gaming enthusiasts to tweak the highest levels of performance from their VGA card. With multi-level GPU and memory voltage control settings, users are able to squeeze the highest amount of performance from their cards. GIGABYTE's Gamer HUDTM utility also supports adjusting of GPU, shader (NVIDIA only) and memory clock settings, for maximum overclocking performance. Furthermore, an all new PWM Frequency feature is bundled in the latest version of Gamer HUDTM, supporting 2 modes of optimized power configurations.

In addition, GIGABYTE's Gamer HUDTM provides advanced power savings through its auto-optimized 2D/3D GPU frequency switching feature. When enabling 2D applications such as email, web browsing and media playback, the GPU frequency will be downgraded to 2D mode automatically which saves power consumption. For more graphics intensive applications such as gaming and 3D rendering, the 3D switch is activated, raising the GPU frequency to allow for the greatest level of performance. GIGABYTE's 2D/3D switch can be set on Auto-Optimized Mode (Enable) or Customizable Mode (Disable), according to users' preference.
