Comat Technologies shall provide training to rural youth in Medical Transcription. It is a unique approach to generate rural employment through its Nemmadi Kendras.

Comat Technologies announced its Training Program in Medical Transcription for the rural youth. The training will open up avenues for employment for rural citizens at their doorstep. The course is imparted through VSAT technology with experts conducting the course from a studio, which is beamed to Comat's Nemmadi Kendras across Karnataka.

The training course would be for a duration of 4 - 6 months covering subjects like science (human anatomy), English grammar, English typing and American accent training. To be eligible for Rural Medical Transcription training, the candidate should have completed his/her PUC, however, graduates and diploma holders can also apply. For selection, the candidate is required to take an aptitude test at the nearest nemmadi centre; all successful candidates will qualify for the training. The job entails conversion of patient's medical records from voice to text and submission of the completed report to the doctor through secured internet connectivity. The medical transcriptionist requires comprehensive training as per the predefined quality metrics of the company in order to achieve 99% accuracy in the documents.
