At the quarter ended December 31st, 2007, Wipro Infotech recorded Revenues of Rs 9,716 Million, a growth of 39% YoY and Profit before Interest and Tax of Rs. 874 Million, a growth of 49% YoY. Services business contributed 33% to total Revenue during the quarter and grew by 46% YoY.
Contracts won in Q3 by Wipro are Railtel Corporation of India, Centre for Railways Information System, Central Board of Excise and Customs (CBEC), Catholic Syrian Bank (CSB), BHEL, Central Public Works Department, GAIL India, Karnataka Bank, Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, MetLife India, CNBC (Network 18) and National Institute of Ocean Technology etc.
