Alcatel-Lucent announced that according to industry analyst firm Dell'Oro, it continues to lead the broadband access market with a DSL market share of 40% in the third quarter of 2007. Alcatel-Lucent also remains number one in the IP DSLAM market.

With a total of more than 150 million DSL lines shipped, Alcatel-Lucent now has a cumulative market share of 41%, more than triple that of its nearest competitor. According to Dell'Oro, the company also maintains its leading position in IP DSLAM shipments due to the accelerated pace of global acceptance of the ISAM platform. It reported a solid third quarter with 8 million DSL lines shipped, (24.9 million lines delivered year to date), up 19% year over year. These results were supported by new installations of the ISAM by traditional and alternate service providers in established as well as high growth markets.
