Great Lakes Institute of Management establihes ‘Centre of Excellence for Infrastructure' in association of MARG Construction who shall invest US$ 1 Mn, to set up the Center.

Great Lakes Institute of Management, Chennai launched the ‘Centre of Excellence for Infrastructure'. Mr. N. R. Narayana Murthy, Chief Mentor, Infosys Technologies Ltd. formally announced the launch of the centre in association of MARG Construction. MARG Constructions will make an investment of US$ 1 Mn, in setting up the Center of Excellence for Infrastructure in Chennai. Located within the Great Lakes Institute of Management campus, the Centre of Excellence for Infrastructure will study in depth, the domain of infrastructure in India and abroad. The insights that arise from these studies will be used to develop business models and solutions for growth and development of infrastructure in India and abroad.

The centre will identify key opportunity areas in India & Asia and develop projects to explore prospects in the Infrastructure Industry. The centre will also research on interrelationships of this domain with the social and economic factors of the country and propose suitable policy recommendations to the Government. The Centre for Excellence will be headed by a distinguished Chair professor, with a team of researchers and requisite support staff.
