CII Yi and Intel Technology India Organizes "ABLEMP 2007" for Differently Abled PDF Print E-mail

Confederation of Indian Industry, Yi and Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd. focus on empowering the differently abled through creative competitions "ABLEMP 2007".

As a commitment to the cause of disability Yi Bangalore Chapter conducted an annual event on the occasion of World Disability Day, celebrated on 3rd December 2007. Yi & CII in association with Saransh & Intel Technology India Pvt. Ltd organized a colourful event 'ABLEMP 2007' at Intel Campus, Sarjapur Road, Bangalore on the occasion of World Disability Day. Saransh, an NGO working towards empowering the disabled in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu has extended its aim to empower differently abled of all age groups in rural and urban areas. The famous dancer Ms. Vani Ganpathi inaugurated ABLEMP 2007. Mr. R.P.Agarwal, CII Past Chairman and Mr. Rahul Bedi of Intel were also present at the occasion.

Around 350 children with disabilities participated in this event, which included painting, puzzle and essay competitions for the children between the age group of 10-18years. Mr. L. Krishnan, Managing director, Tagutec India Pvt Ltd, distributed the Prizes. The competitions were followed by cultural events performed by United Arts Society, Bangalore that was followed by prize distribution. Intel gave three waterfall laptops to the contest winners. CII Yi would display the paintings made by the contestants for auction at Welcome Art Gallery, ITC Windsor Manor, between 8th and 12th of Dec.
