Freescale to host third annual technology conference in India at Hotel Grand Ashok, Bangalore on Nov 19 and 20, 2007. FTF India to showcase design intelligence and innovation in embedded electronics; event includes more than 50 technology demonstrations and more than 50 hours of technical training.

Freescale Semiconductor is hosting its third annual technology conference in India at Hotel Grand Ashok, Bangalore on Nov 19 and 20, 2007. Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) is considered the developer event of the year for the embedded semiconductor industry. Designed with the engineer in mind, FTF events around the globe feature visionary keynote speakers, in-depth technical sessions, hands-on demonstrations in an interactive Technology Lab and endless networking opportunities for attendees.  Since the inception of FTF in 2005, more than 12,000 engineers, partners, executives, journalists and industry opinion leaders have gathered at Freescale Technology Forum events around the world to network, share ideas and experience the entire portfolio of Freescale technologies. That number is expected to reach 15,000 by the end of 2007.

The opening general session includes speeches from Azim H Premji, chairman, Wipro Limited; Jan Monney, senior vice president, Business Operations and Corporate Communications, Freescale and Kai Wang, vice president and general manager, Asia Region, Freescale. The closing session features a panel on "3G and long-term evolution of cellular and its applications to the Indian market." Confirmed panelists for the session include Mr. Rajesh Mishra, chief technology officer of Wipro Technologies; Dr. G. Venkatesh, chief technology officer of Sasken; Mr S.B Singh, general manager of BSNL Bangalore, and Dr. David Koillpillai of IIT Chennai.
