TiE, Bangalore Chapter hosted a talk by Shombit Sengupta, author of  Jalebi Management-All stakeholders can enjoy a bite, and creator of Shining Emotional Surplus, a high powered Management Consultancy Firm, addressed a gathering of TiE Members and talked about his experiences of several decades highlighting the importance of the human component as an integral part of every business process, paying attention to culture, lifestyle and trends. Shombit also emphasized the importance of being a stickler to international quality standards, answering questions on why Indians are not too popular for maintaining standards and what the reason could be, Shombit responded by saying that our culture allows us to believe in re-incarnation and hence the tendency to procrastinate thus buying oneself another chance to make perfect in another time & life. Shombit is also well known for the phrase he created - EMOTIONAL SURPLUS Strategy which he applies to all his creation.

Dinesh Puri Vice Chairman & CEO of MediVed Innovations (P) Ltd., and Charter Member- TiE Bangalore moderated the event. The event took place on the 25th of October, 2007 at 7 pm at Taj Residency, MG Road , Bangalore .
