TANDBERG® announced its plans to make its full line of
standards-based products interoperable with Microsoft Office Communications
Server 2007. This interoperability between Microsoft and TANDBERG solutions
will enable individuals to launch high quality video calls from their desktop;
ensuring video becomes an integral part of the business day.
Microsoft Corp. and TANDBERG share the vision of
a complete unified communications environment, providing customers with
enhanced capabilities for instant, collaborative communications. With Office
Communications Server 2007 and TANDBERG, PC users will be able to establish
initial contact through presence and messaging, and then simply escalate to a
high quality videoconference for face-to-face interaction. By combining
TANDBERG's video capabilities with Office Communications Server 2007,
businesses can streamline communications, build a future-ready foundation for
collaboration, increase efficiency and reduce costs.
