The
Bangalore International Marathon is being organized by Crossover. It generates
great enthusiasm. The marathon is scheduled for Sunday, December 9, 2007.
Crossover Sports Private Limited announces the 3rd Bangalore
International Marathon, 2007. The marathon is scheduled for Sunday, December 9,
2007. Last year, on September 17, 2006 Bangalore registered over 20,000 pairs
of feet on the roads and created history. Now history will repeat itself,
Bangalore city is all set to run faster and gather more steam this year. This
year there will added attractions like Sr. Citizenship Run, Pet March,
Handicap Run & Children's'
Run.
Participants in Bangalore International Marathon 2007 will
run for a social cause. Proceeds from the Marathon will be chanellized for the
various NGO's. Over 156 NGOs working on social causes ranging from Child Rights
& You, Education, Community Welfare and Disability, to Environment,
Wildlife and Animal Rights.
The Bangalore International Marathon (BIM), is
recognized by The Association of International Marathons and Road Races &
conforms to the highest standards of sportsmanship. The Year 2005 saw a home
winner breasting the tape, and creating international headlines. The Bangalore
International Marathon made it to the cover of the July-September 2005 edition
of Distance Running, an international publication read avidly by all running
enthusiasts around the world.
