foremost tourist destination. This year the festival shall kick start from 30
the June -31st August 2007.
Hong
Kong's stunning and sophisticated malls and department stores offer hours of
pleasure-filled shopping in gleaming, elegant surroundings. There are street
markets selling bargain goodies like electronics and clothes. Also,
theme-shopping streets dedicated to specific products, be it sportswear or AV
products provides splendid shopping experience. Luxury international brands are
well represented in Hong Kong.
This
year's Shopping Festival is more exciting than ever as it coincides with a host
of celebrations marking the 10th Anniversary of the establishment of Hong Kong
as a Special Administrative Region of China. Among the must-see events is the
nightly multimedia extravaganza. More than 30 buildings lining Victoria Harbour
erupt in a choreographed display of coloured lights, laser beams and
searchlights, this is known as “ Symphony of Lights”. Crowned as the
"World's Largest Permanent Light and Sound Show" by Guinness World
Records, this spectacular show shall be complemented by pyrotechnic displays
from 1-8 July and on all subsequent saturdays during the Shopping Festival.
Few
other offering / attractions are Hong Kong Disneyland, heats up the fun and
excitement for the whole family with two dynamic new attractions - Disney
Animation Academy and Mickey's WaterWorks - yet another unique attraction and a
fantastic water-based day parade! ; Ocean Park Wet 'n Wild Panda Mania, one
could see new pair of baby Giant Pandas at Ocean Park! It also features variety
of water games with bamboo-themed decorations and interactive fun for all! ;
9th Ani-Com Hong Kong / 4th Hong Kong Game Fair, the event provides the best
