Infosys has been awarded DaimlerChrysler's "IPS Supplier of the Year 2006" (International Procurement Services) in the category of Information Technology. It received this award for providing services in the areas viz. delivering dealer data management systems, strategic guidance and counsel around re-engineering the applications portfolio and met & exceeded service level agreements.

Infosys Technologies Limited, consulting and information technology services provider has been awarded DaimlerChrysler's "IPS Supplier of the Year 2006" (International Procurement Services) in the category of Information Technology. Infosys Technologies was one of three non-production material/services suppliers from North America that were presented awards for outstanding performance last year. The award was presented during a ceremony this spring and marks a high point in the five-year relationship between DaimlerChrysler and Infosys.

Infosys began working closely with DaimlerChrysler in 2002 to implement strategic initiatives to increase efficiencies and optimize business processes company-wide. Chosen among DaimlerChrysler's thousands of technology and non-technology suppliers, Infosys' Automotive Group took home this award by consistently delivering on the four value drivers by which DaimlerChrysler measures its supply base: quality, cost, technology and supply. Infosys is currently engaged in many strategic initiatives across DaimlerChrysler globally. The engagement team includes employees located in the United States , Europe and Asia , delivering services around business consulting and enterprise software implementations.

Specifically, Infosys received this award for providing services in the following areas: Delivered dealer data management systems for all Chrysler Group dealers in North America ; Met and exceeded service level agreements on more than 100 projects; and Provided strategic guidance and counsel around re-engineering the applications portfolio to reduce risk and total cost of ownership.
