Airtel network expansion drives wireless penetration in Karnataka |

Airtel
is poised to take a giant leap into the next level of network growth in the
State during this year. Airtel, which already offers a network that is twice the
size of its nearest competitor, aims to increase population coverage to 85% of
state's population. Here is some data that the Airtel official release
shared.

new connections in Karnataka during 2006 - 07 are on Airtel
1. Airtel
network covers more than 75% of the State's population.
2. Aims to cover 100 %
of highways, railways and gram panchayats this year
3. 2.2 million
customers added in Karnataka in Airtel network during 2006-07
4. Airtel mobile
products distributed over more than 47000 outlets in the state
