Acer has received
three Red Dot 2007awards for product design from the Design Zentrum Nordrhein
Westfalen (DZRW) of Germany. This seal for quality design is awarded annually
in the international competition by a jury of renowned design experts, who this
year awarded Acer's Aspire L350, Ferrari 1000 and c500 pocket PC with a Red
Dot.
The DZRW states
that the quality seal only goes to products with a particularly sophisticated
and innovative design. The jury examines and tests the products, and assesses
them according to criteria such as degree of innovation, functionality,
ergonomics, durability, ecological compatibility and clarity of function. This
year, companies from 43 countries with a total of 2,548 products faced the
jury's verdict, and 523 products received a Red Dot.
