The book " The High Performance Entrepreneur - Golden Rules of Success in Today's World " by Subroto Bagchi , CoFounder and COO - Mindtree Consulting was launched at Crossword Bookstore, Indiranagar on Dec 9, 2006.

The store was packed with entrepreneurs and would be entrepreneurs. Mr. V.G. Siddharth, Founder-Chairman of Cafe Cofee Day was present to introduce Mr.Subroto Bagchi and also said a few words about his own experience in entrepreneurship and in founding Cafe Cofee Day. Mrs.Sudha Murthy, the renowned social worker and wife of Mr.Narayan Murthy (founder of Infosys) was also present.

One telling incident that Siddharth recalled was what Subroto told him about entrepreneurship. It seems that Subrotos' brother who was then the Chief Secretary of Orrisa told him that he was crazy to leave a job with a salary of Rs.40 to Rs.50 lakhs to start a company.

The highlight of the evening was a film by Ms. Maya Chandran. In this film, in which Subroto is the narrator, she has got three well known entrepreneurs - Mr. V.G Siddharta - founder of Cafe Cofee Day, Captain Gopinath - founder of Air Deccan and Mrs. Kiran Mazumdar - founder of Biocon to talk about what it takes to be an entrepreneur and their experiences in entrepreneurship.The evening ended with Subroto Bagchi signing copies of his book.

About Subroto Bagchi

Subroto Bagchi was born in Patnagarh, Orissa, in 1957. He is co-founder and chief operating officer of Mindtree Consulting, one of India's most admired companies. He was ranked among India's most influential business persons by Business Today magazine in 2006. He has been well known for his columns, 'Arbor  Mentis', for Businessworld and 'Times of Mind' for Times of India. 'The High Performance Entrepreneur' is his first book.
