Intel Capital announces investments to boost technology innovation in India |

Intel Capital, the
venture capital investment arm of Intel Corporation, today announced an
additional investment from its US$250 million Intel Capital India
Technology Fund, first established in December 2005. The company receiving investment
is Real Image Technologies Pvt. Ltd. This latest investment, together with
earlier announced
funding in Maya Entertainment, Mauj, Mobiapps Holdings and Persistent
Systems, aims at driving Indian innovation in wireless connectivity,
digital media content and consumer Internet.
Real Image (www.real-image.com), based in
Chennai, specializes in digital media technology for the film, video, audio
and animation industry worldwide. Intel Capital made its first strategic
investment in India in 1998
and since then has invested in more than 40 companies across seven cities in
India
