The irony is that most people do not even know this fact that the government subsidises the energy needs of India. And even if they come to know, many of these will question as to why they are even charged for energy in the first place? As if meeting the ever growing needs for energy is the government's headache.  
 
 
I believe that basic economical concepts like these should be stressed for in the schools, so that the younger generation atleast becomes aware of the problems.
