How New Business Models are Emerging because of Twitter etc.

Food Vans Popping up and foodies queuing up just on time, Pop-up grocery stores, sharing a ride, all of these things are starting to happen because of the convergence of social mobile and the web. Articulating this trend is Lisa Gansky, who has just authored the Book, “The Mesh- Why The Future of Business is Sharing.”

In the video below Lisa Gansky talks about these new emerging businesses and says this is just the beginning. For instance for Ofoto a business she founded, which was later acquired by Kodak, in 1999 she had raised US$60 Million, today she says she would need just 10% of this amount to create something similar, the reason is so much of resources like hosting infrastructure is available on a shared basis, on the cloud.
